Diversity Plan & Supporting Documents

The BCOE Diversity Plan

The BCOE Diversity Plan offer goals, strategies, and actions that affirm our position that diversity is a strength and that the collective is stronger when we acknowledge injustice and chart a path towards both equitable input and equitable outcomes. This plan is intended to provide guidance, as well as accountability, for systemic change to support students, faculty, and staff from historically marginalized groups. The BCOE Diversity Plan is centered around four goals:

Goal #1: Recruit, retain, and support the success of students from historically marginalized and minoritized groups.

Goal #2: Recruit, retain, and support the success of faculty from historically marginalized and minoritized groups.

Goal #3: Recruit, retain, and support the success of staff from historically marginalized and minoritized groups.

Goal #4: Create and maintain a climate committed to equity, justice, and humanization by valuing diversity, focusing on inclusion, and establishing a culture of accountability around diversity-related practices and policies.
